
Following a collision with a hatchback on Sunday morning, a 58-year-old motorcyclist clipped an island on a freeway exit and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
According to police, the deadly collision occurred at approximately 8.45 am on the Kwinana Freeway as the man was riding a black Harley Davidson FXD series motorcycle with a group of other riders.
The motorcyclist clipped an island while behind a group heading north approaching the Roe Highway and Murdoch Drive exit.
He “fell and collided with a white Nissan Tiida hatchback” that was driving the same exit as a result of this.
According to a police spokeswoman, “the 58-year-old rider suffered critical injuries in the crash and was transported by ambulance to Fiona Stanley Hospital where he later died.”
The identity of the dead man is yet to be released by the officials.
The driver of the Nissan, a 73-year-old woman, sustained no injuries from the accident.
The accident is still under investigation.
