Jason Copper Death-Obituary: Fatal Crash Involving Medford Fire Truck Claims Life of Sound Beach Man
A tragic accident occurred on the Long Island Expressway South Service Road and Route 112 on Thursday, resulting in the death of a 39-year-old Sound Beach man.
According to police, the incident took place around 12:30 p.m. and involved a Medford fire truck. The victim, identified as Jason Copper, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The fire truck, driven by Wilfredo Garcia, had its emergency lights and sirens activated at the time of the crash. Three firefighters, including Garcia and two others, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
