Woman Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash in DeKalb County Business Parking Lot
A fatal crash occurred in a business parking lot in DeKalb County, Georgia, on Saturday night, claiming the life of a 30-year-old woman.
According to the DeKalb County Police Department, the incident happened around 11:22 p.m. on Lithonia Industrial Boulevard at Parkway Drive.
Investigating officers found a two-vehicle crash at the scene, with evidence suggesting that one driver was attempting to enter the parking lot when the other vehicle struck theirs.
The woman, who was inside one of the vehicles, succumbed to her injuries. Two men in the other vehicle were injured but are expected to survive.
The police investigation is ongoing, and it is unclear whether the woman was the driver or passenger in the vehicle.
In a separate incident, DeKalb County police broke up a stunt driving scene overnight, with video footage showing drivers scrambling to leave the scene after officers arrived.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Briarcliff and Lavista Road, where a group of drivers had taken over the intersection.
This is the second time since December that stunt drivers have been reported at the same intersection.
Georgia passed a new law last year aimed at curbing street racing and stunt driving, with harsher penalties for those participating in or organizing such events.
