
Chicago Car Crash Claims One Life, Leaves Another Critically Injured
A Sunday night collision in Chicago’s West Lawn neighborhood resulted in one fatality and a critical injury.
The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on South Pulaski Road. Chicago police report that a black sedan collided with a silver sedan while attempting to merge into the inner lane.
The impact caused the black sedan to lose control and strike a light post in the median. The driver, a 22-year-old man, and an adult female passenger were both ejected from the vehicle.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the female passenger was transported to a hospital with critical leg injuries.
The occupants of the silver sedan, a man and a woman, escaped injury and declined medical treatment.
Area One detectives are currently investigating the crash.
