
1-Year-Old Child Rushed to Children’s Hospital of Orange County Following Wrong-Way Crash on 60 Freeway
A tragic accident occurred on the 60 Freeway in Industry, California, when a vehicle traveled in the wrong direction and collided with another car.
The incident happened when a 2013 Honda Accord, driving eastbound in the westbound lanes, struck a 2018 Honda Civic head-on.
The impact caused the Accord to lose control and crash into a 2019 Toyota Highlander.
Sadly, the two female occupants of the Civic, ages 29 and 39, succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
A 1-year-old child in the Civic was rushed to Children’s Hospital of Orange County with serious injuries.
The driver of the Highlander, Veronica Segura, 47, sustained minor injuries and was treated at Pomona Valley Hospital.
The crash led to a SigAlert, closing multiple lanes on the westbound 60 Freeway.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is investigating the incident and urges anyone with information to contact Officer J. Garcia at (626) 517-8500.
The CHP is working to determine the circumstances surrounding the wrong-way crash.
