BELLEVUE, Wash. — Even though it’s not Groundhog Day, Interstate 405 in the north was closed once more.
On Wednesday, the shutdown occurred near Bellevue, just south of SE 8th St. The incident has already been cleared, however all lanes were stopped.
According to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), several vehicles were involved in the incident, which was first reported around 4:20 a.m. Wednesday.
The Bellevue Fire Department mentioned that firefighters responded to several non-injury collisions in the area.
There have been numerous spinouts and accidents on the highway, including a multi-car crash in Renton near NE 44th St and another in Kirkland on the southbound lanes.
On Tuesday, northbound I-405 had been closed in Renton after a semi-truck rolled over and caught fire, with all lanes reopening about five hours later.
