Cristian Marin Death-Obituary: Mother of Missing Child in Florida Boat Accident Expresses Gratitude for Community Support
A heartfelt message from Paula Valderram, the mother of a child still missing after a boat accident on the St. Johns River in Florida, has expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of community support.
Valderram’s family was involved in a tragic accident on Friday evening when their 18-foot vessel overturned, sending eight people into the water. Despite rescue efforts, Valderram’s husband, Cristian Marin, their two children, and her mother-in-law were among those who lost their lives.
As the search for the remaining missing child continues, Valderram thanked the agencies involved, the community, and those who have prayed for her family. Her statement, shared through a friend, described her heartbreak as “indescribable.”
A GoFundMe page has raised over $42,000 to support Valderram. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Coast Guard, and other agencies are working together to locate the missing child.
The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing. Authorities have confirmed that none of the passengers were wearing life jackets when the boat capsized.
The community has come together to show support for Valderram and her family, with prayer vigils and messages of condolence.
