SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A fatality accident involving a single vehicle on south Lockwood Ridge Road in unincorporated Sarasota has clamed the life of one person.
According to the preliminary report, the driver was traveling south Lockwood when his car crashed. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Officer reported to the scene and pronounced him dead.
It was gathered that the man wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and was a “person of interest” in another crime.
The identity of the man is not released yet by the officials.
Southbound traffic on Lockwood Ridge route between University Cub and 47th Street was blocked for many hours as the Florida Highway Patrol carried out their investigation, then the route was reopened.
