Driver Breaks Silence on Car Accident Involving Virginia Giuffre
The driver involved in a car accident with Virginia Giuffre, who claimed she only had “four days to live” due to injuries sustained in the crash, has spoken out about the incident. Cheryl Sassela, 71, was driving the Toyota Highlander that collided with a bus in Perth last week.
Sassela, who reportedly cares for Giuffre’s 40-acre weekend retreat, described the crash as being “blown out of proportion.” She stated, “I’m not covering for her. I’m not implicated in a cover-up.” Sassela added that she believed Giuffre would release a statement soon to clarify the situation.
The incident has sparked conflicting reports, with Giuffre claiming she suffered kidney failure and only had days to live. However, a spokesperson from the police force stated that the crash was minor, with only $2000 worth of damage to the car and no reported injuries. Bus driver Ross Munns also described the accident as not major, saying that Sassela had pulled out in front of him without indicating.
The Western Australia Police Force received a report of the crash, which occurred on March 24 just after 3 pm. Munns claimed he swapped details with Sassela following the incident and made a police report. Giuffre’s publicist had previously stated that she was receiving medical care in the hospital, but Sassela’s account suggests that the situation may not be as severe as initially reported.
