Tyler Business Owner’s Murder Suspect Released on $3 Million Bond
A suspect accused of murdering a prominent Tyler business owner has been released from jail after posting a substantial bond.
Scotty Lee Goble, of Corsicana, is charged with murder in connection with the death of Heriberto “Eddie” Ramirez, 38, co-owner of Junior’s Taqueria. Ramirez was fatally shot in the parking lot of his business on October 11.
Goble’s bond was initially set at $1.5 million, but he was denied a reduction by the 241st District Court on April 2. Despite this, he posted a $3 million bond on Thursday, just a day before his scheduled pre-trial hearing.
Goble’s trial is set for May 19. This is not his first release from jail, as he was previously released and re-arrested due to bond violations. The case has raised concerns about the suspect’s release and potential risks to the community.
