
Two Fatalities Reported on LA Highways on Easter Morning
Los Angeles – A deadly Easter morning has unfolded in Los Angeles, with two separate incidents on major highways resulting in fatalities. The incidents have caused disruptions for holiday travelers, with congestion and delays reported on both the 10 Freeway and the 405 Freeway.
According to the information released by Los Angeles Times, the wrong-way crash which happened on the 10 Freeway near downtown Los Angeles has claimed one life. It was gathered that the incident occurred at approximately 5:25 am, east of Central Avenue.
The officials pronounced one person at the scene, and four others were transported to nearby hospitals with unknown injuries. Multiple vehicles were involved, and a SigAlert was issued, with only one lane open in each direction.
405 Freeway Incident
A second fatality was reported on the 405 Freeway in the North Hills area, south of the Nordhoff Street exit. The incident involved two vehicles, and one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the incident at 2:19 am.
The CHP is investigating both incidents, but details remain limited. Authorities have not confirmed whether impairment was a factor in the wrong-way collision on the 10 Freeway.
