A fatal two-vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 95 in Mansfield, Massachusetts, early Thursday morning, during a winter storm that was sweeping through the area.
According to Massachusetts State Police, the accident happened around 12:30 a.m. on the northbound side of the highway, near mile marker 12. A sedan collided with the rear of a box truck, resulting in the death of a passenger in the sedan.
The victim’s identity has not been released. The middle and right travel lanes were closed while emergency crews worked at the scene.
State police detectives from the Bristol District Attorney’s Office are leading the investigation into the crash.
