
BAKER, FL – A tragic head-on collision on Highway 4 in Santa Rosa County on Monday claimed the life of 18-year-old Kadance Fredericksen of Baker, Florida.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Fredericksen was traveling east on Highway 4 at Hurricane Lake Road when she collided head-on with a semi-truck driven by a 56-year-old man from Milton. The truck driver sustained minor injuries.
Fredericksen, a senior at Baker School, was an accomplished student and member of the National Honor Society. She was also a talented dancer and member of the Baker Gatorettes Dance Team.
In addition to her academic and extracurricular achievements, Fredericksen was a dedicated philanthropist. She founded the non-profit organization “Kada’s Promise” in 2017, which donated over 14,000 teddy bears and blankets to children who have suffered trauma or abuse. Fredericksen was also a former winner of the Miss Okaloosa County Teen USA pageant.
