
DIAMOND BAR, CA – A devastating crash involving two overturned semi-trucks on the eastbound 60 Freeway in Diamond Bar has left one person dead and caused significant traffic disruptions.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash occurred shortly after 4 a.m. near the 57 Freeway interchange.
Los Angeles County firefighters pronounced one person dead at the scene, although it is unclear whether the deceased was a driver of one of the semi-trucks.
The CHP issued a SigAlert and closed three lanes of the connector road from the eastbound 60 and the northbound 57 Freeway near Diamond Bar. The closure is expected to last for an unknown duration.
As the morning commute got underway, eastbound traffic was backed up for miles, causing significant delays.
The cause of the collision is currently under investigation by authorities.
