John Gallagher, a 35-year-old Aberdeen resident, has been sentenced to seven years in prison for his involvement in the supply of cocaine and amphetamines. Gallagher pled guilty to the charges on January 15, 2025, and was sentenced at the High Court in Edinburgh on February 21, 2025.
The sentencing is a result of a lengthy investigation that began in July 2023, during which officers recovered class A and B controlled drugs from various properties in Aberdeen.
Detective Sergeant Sam Harris of Aberdeen CID emphasized the importance of community involvement in combating drug-related activities. “Information from the public is crucial in helping us to combat those involved in drugs activity in our communities,” Harris said. “It is only as a community working together that we can tackle drug dealing activity.”
Police Scotland encourages anyone with information regarding drug dealing activities to contact them on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
