
Man Arrested in Connection with Serious Collision in Torquay
A 32-year-old man from Torquay has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving following a serious accident on Sunday, March 17.
The collision occurred on Teignmouth Road, Torquay, at approximately 10 pm, involving a red Vauxhall Astra and a building. A 45-year-old man sustained life-changing injuries and remains in critical condition at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.
The arrested man has been released on police bail to return on June 16, pending further inquiries.
A second person, a woman who was being sought in relation to the incident, has been located and spoken with officers. She sustained minor injuries.
