
A section of the A12 was closed for nearly four hours on Friday, March 2, following a single-vehicle collision that left one person hospitalized.
The incident occurred on the northbound carriageway between junction 21 (Hatfield Road) and junction 22 (Witham North), causing congestion in both directions as traffic slowed to observe the scene.
Essex Police confirmed that one person was taken to hospital following the collision, although the extent of their injuries is not yet known.
The A12 was reopened at approximately 3:17 p.m., with all lanes now cleared. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and expect residual delays in the area.
