A303 Bypass Closure: Accident Investigation Causes Disruption in Wiltshire
The A303 Bypass in Wiltshire has been closed in both directions due to ongoing accident investigation work. The westbound closure affects the section from Parkhouse Corner in Cholderton to the Bulford turn-off near Amesbury, while the eastbound closure affects the section from Countess Roundabout to the Andover turn-off.
The closures, which began around 6pm on Friday, are causing significant disruptions in the area. Motorists are advised to follow diversion routes to minimize delays.
For westbound traffic, drivers are being diverted from Parkhouse Corner onto the A338 towards Salisbury. For eastbound traffic, drivers are being diverted from Countess Roundabout onto the Amesbury road.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to clear the scene and reopen the bypass as soon as possible. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available
