
A section of the A35 in Dorset was closed in both directions for nearly three hours on Sunday, February 16, following a two-vehicle collision.
The incident occurred near the Stinsford Roundabout in Dorchester, with reports of a large oil and fuel spillage. The road was closed between the Football Ground Roundabout in Dorchester and the A352 West Stafford turn off shortly after 10 am.
National Highways and Dorset Police responded to the scene, with contractors attending to assist with clear-up works. A diversion route was put in place, with traffic moving slowly in the area.
Fortunately, there were no reports of serious injuries. The road reopened shortly before 1 p.m., with police leaving the scene at approximately 12:35 p.m.
The incident caused significant disruption to traffic in the area, but thankfully, no one was seriously hurt.
