
The US Coast Guard has confirmed that the wreckage of a small plane that went missing in Alaska on Thursday has been found, with three people confirmed dead.
Authorities reported that seven more bodies are thought to be inside the aircraft, but they remain unreachable due to the wreckage’s condition.
The Cessna Caravan, operated by Bering Air, had ten people on board, comprising a pilot and nine passengers when it lost contact about 12 miles offshore on Thursday afternoon.
The Nome Volunteer Fire Department verified that all of the passengers’ families have been notified, but the identities of those on board have not been made public.
