Traffic Advisory Issued for University Avenue Resurfacing Works
Motorists are advised to avoid University Avenue in the West End for the next week as pavement resurfacing works get underway. The project, which begins today, March 25, is scheduled to run until 6pm on April 1.
The resurfacing works will require temporary traffic management measures, including the switching off of traffic lights at the junction of University Avenue and Gibson Street. Temporary traffic lights will be installed, and temporary pedestrian crossings will be put in place to manage the contraflow system along University Avenue from Gibson Street to Oakfield Avenue.
Motorists are urged to plan alternative routes to avoid delays and congestion in the area.
