I-75 Back Open After Hours-Long Shutdown Near Red Top
Bartow County, GA — Early this morning, traffic on I-75 came to a complete stop near Exit 285, close to Red Top Mountain Rd. Cops shut down both sides of the highway around 3 a.m. Still no official word on what sparked it.
Northbound reopened around 5:07, and the south side didn’t clear till just before 6:30. A lot of folks sat for hours not knowing what was going on. Backup went on for miles.
It caused a mess for the morning drive — no surprise there. Police haven’t shared details yet.
