
Two Killed in Early Morning Car Crash in Chelmsford
A devastating collision in Chelmsford, Essex, has claimed the lives of two people, with two others seriously injured. Essex Police responded to the incident on the B1007, near the junction with the A12, shortly after 3:00 a.m. GMT.
A man in his 30s, driving one of the cars, and a male passenger in his 50s in the other vehicle, both lost their lives at the scene.
Two other men were taken to hospital with serious injuries, although they are not believed to be life-threatening. The victims’ families have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.
The road remains closed for investigation, and police are urging the public to avoid the area.
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have seen a blue BMW 3 Series in the early hours of Sunday to come forward.
