
Motorcycle Accident Claims Life of 4-Year-Old Child
A heartbreaking incident occurred on Sunday, March 30, at approximately 5 p.m. on westbound Mexico Road, just before the Belleau Creek intersection, in St. Peters. A motorcycle accident resulted in the death of a 4-year-old child.
According to the St. Peters Police Department, multiple 911 calls were received, and officers responded to the scene to find an adult male and a 4-year-old male with serious injuries. Both were transported to an area hospital, where the child was pronounced deceased. The adult suffered critical but non-life-threatening injuries.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the motorcycle struck a utility pole, ejecting both riders. Both the adult and child were wearing helmets at the time of the crash, and no other vehicles were involved.
The St. Peters Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident, which may take several weeks to complete. The cause of the accident, including whether speed or other factors contributed, is still unknown.
