
Motorcycle Accident on Iron Range Claims Life of Chisholm Man
A tragic motorcycle accident on Saturday, April, has claimed the life of 46-year-old Shawn Harold Hage of Chisholm. The accident occurred on Highway 5 near the intersection of Herman Road in Cherry Township at around 4:34 p.m.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, Hage failed to make a turn, causing him to cross the centerline and drive into a water-filled ditch, where he was ejected. Despite attempts by bystanders to administer life-saving measures, Hage was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation reveals that Hage was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, and speed and alcohol are believed to have played a role in the crash.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office and Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office are continuing to investigate the incident.
The accident highlights the importance of safe driving practices and wearing protective gear while operating a motorcycle.
