
Shooting at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital Leaves One Injured, Suspect Arrested
A shooting occurred at the Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital in Oakland County, Michigan, on Thursday, March 20, 2025, leaving one person injured. The incident happened in a hospital parking garage just after 7 a.m.
According to reports, an employee allegedly fired five shots at another employee, striking him twice in the arm. The 25-year-old victim, a Troy resident, was treated for his injuries at the hospital and is expected to recover.
The suspect was arrested at a home in Macomb County shortly after the shooting. Sources close to those involved revealed that the two employees were reportedly “best friends” who worked together in the radiology department.
An eyewitness, a medical assistant at the hospital, described the chaotic scene, stating that a coworker screamed at her to get back into her car due to an active shooter. Troy police provided an initial briefing, confirming that the shooting occurred between two employees.
