Fatal Head-On Collision on Cornelius Pass Road Claims One Life
A fatal head-on crash occurred on Cornelius Pass Road in Oregon on Tuesday, March 11, resulting in the loss of one life and leaving two others seriously injured.
According to Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, the crash took place at approximately 8 a.m. on Cornelius Pass Road, south of Skyline Boulevard. The impact of the collision caused one vehicle to overturn and land four feet down an embankment.
Technical teams from Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue and Hillsboro Fire worked tirelessly to stabilize the vehicle and access the person trapped inside. Unfortunately, the individual did not survive.
The identities of those involved in the crash have not been released by authorities. Two occupants from the second vehicle were transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
The Oregon State Police are currently conducting an investigation into the cause of the fatal collision.
