Danville Man Killed in Montour County Car Accident
Danville, Pennsylvania – A fatal car accident occurred in Montour County yesterday, claiming the life of 86-year-old Carl Swisher of Danville.
According to the Montour County Coroner’s Office, Swisher was traveling north on State Route 11 in Cooper Township when the accident happened. As he attempted to turn left onto Groviana Drive, his vehicle entered the path of a southbound pickup truck, which struck his car.
The coroner’s office reported that Swisher was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, although airbags did deploy. He was transported to Geisinger Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries around noon on February 26.
The Montour County Coroner’s Office and Milton PSP are currently investigating the incident.
