Denver Intersection Deemed Hazardous by Neighbors After Recent Crash
A Denver intersection is under scrutiny after a recent car accident raised concerns about the lack of stop signs and safety measures in the area.
On Monday, a vehicle collided with a utility pole at the intersection of Florida Avenue and Josephine Street, injuring three people. A worker was stationed on top of the pole at the time of the accident.
While the cause of the crash has not been released by police, neighbors say this is not an isolated incident. Several collisions have occurred in the area over the past few years, prompting residents to request additional safety measures from the city of Denver.
“A stop sign or a speed bump or something else to slow traffic down,” said Bryan Sise, a local resident. “Many drivers speed through the area, which is located near elementary and middle schools.”
Sise emphasized the importance of safety, urging drivers to consider the consequences of speeding. “I can understand how people are in a hurry… but think of the consequences,” he said.
This is a developing story, and more updates will be provided as additional information becomes available.
