A devastating motorcycle accident has left a local man, Derek Johnson, fighting for his life in the ICU at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Palm Bay, Florida. The accident occurred on March 23rd, and Derek’s family is now rallying around him in his time of need.
Derek, a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and father, is facing a long and grueling road to recovery. His injuries are extensive, including six blood transfusions, multiple surgeries, two broken hands, a fractured foot, broken toes and fingers, internal bleeding, a shattered pelvis, and a bruised heart and lungs.
In an effort to support Derek and his family, a GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help cover the mounting medical bills and expenses. The campaign aims to raise funds for Derek’s care, including at-home care and other necessities.
