The Sacramento Police Department reported that a traffic accident involving multiple vehicles on Highway 99, which included a Sacramento police officer, resulted in traffic delays on Saturday.
Reports indicate that the first crash, which involved five vehicles, occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. on southbound Highway 99 near 12th Avenue. Another collision with two additional cars occurred a short distance from the first.
According to authorities, the accident resulted in almost two hours of traffic delays, but Highway 99 is now clear.
The police stated that there were no significant injuries.
