69-Year-Old Woman Charged in Fatal Motorcycle Crash
A 69-year-old woman from Innisfil, Ontario, has been charged in connection with a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on October 22, 2024, in Barrie, Ontario. The incident took place on Mapleview Drive West, east of Veterans Drive, when a motorcycle collided with a passenger vehicle that was turning left from an establishment.
The motorcycle’s driver, a 34-year-old Barrie man, was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced deceased. Following an investigation, Barrie police charged the driver of the passenger vehicle with careless driving causing death under the Highway Traffic Act.
