Aberdeen Sheriff Court has sentenced 19-year-old Dylon Guyan to 19 months in prison for the serious assault of a police officer.
The incident occurred on June 30, 2024, on Auchinyell Road in Aberdeen, when officers responded to a report of concern for a person.
Guyan pled guilty on January 9, 2025, and was sentenced on February 21, 2025. Inspector Paul Hammond condemned the attack, stating that such violence against police officers is “completely unacceptable.”
Hammond emphasized that police officers put themselves in harm’s way to protect the public, and any violence toward them will not be tolerated. He assured that robust action will be taken against anyone who assaults police officers.
