
Motorcyclist Killed, Pickup Driver Injured in Grant-Valkaria Crash
A fatal crash occurred in Grant-Valkaria, Florida, on Tuesday morning, claiming the life of a 56-year-old motorcyclist from Vero Beach.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 6:25 a.m. when a 2001 Ford Ranger, hauling a boat trailer, made a left turn on U.S. 1 as the motorcyclist traveled north.
The motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, collided with the trailer and was pronounced dead at Orlando Health’s emergency room in Sebastian.
The 68-year-old driver of the pickup truck, from Malabar, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and remained at the scene.
The crash caused delays in the area of U.S. 1 near First Street during the morning commute. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
