Vadodara, Gujarat – A tragic accident occurred in the early hours of Friday, March 14, 2025, when a speeding car crashed into two-wheelers, killing a woman and injuring four others.
According to police, the accident happened around 12:30 a.m. near Muktanand crossroads in the Karelibaug area. The driver, 20-year-old law student Rakshit Chaurasiya, was arrested and is suspected of drunk driving.
Eyewitnesses claim Chaurasiya appeared intoxicated and was screaming “another round, another round” after the crash. The deceased woman, Hemali Patel, was riding her scooter at the time of the accident.
Chaurasiya, a resident of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, is a law student living in a PG accommodation in Vadodara. The car, which belonged to his friend Mit Chauhan, was speeding towards Muktanand circle when the accident occurred.
Chaurasiya has been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway.
