A devastating collision in Oakville has claimed the life of a 31-year-old Hamilton man and left another man seriously injured. The incident occurred on Thursday night, around 9:45 p.m., on Bristol Circle, south of Plymouth Drive.
According to Halton Regional Police, a grey Porsche SUV was traveling eastbound on Bristol Circle when it suddenly veered off the roadway and collided with a light standard. The impact was severe, and the driver, Hamilton man, was rushed to a trauma center, where he was pronounced dead.
The passenger, a 30-year-old man, also from Hamilton, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash, and the Collision Reconstruction Unit is working to piece together the events surrounding the fatal accident.
The Halton Regional Police are urging anyone with information about the crash to come forward and assist investigators. As the investigation continues, the community is left to mourn the loss of a young life and offer support to the injured passenger and their loved ones.
