Multi-Vehicle Accident on I-35W Leaves One Dead, Six Injured
A multi-vehicle accident occurred on northbound I-35W on Tuesday at approximately 4 p.m., leaving one person dead and six others injured. The crash involved four vehicles and an RV, with two additional vehicles damaged. The incident took place near the FM 2449 Ponder exit.
Seven people were transported to the hospital, where one person was pronounced dead on arrival. The Denton Police Department is investigating the incident and working to clear the scene.
The northbound lanes of I-35W are currently closed, with traffic being rerouted off the interstate at the Crawford Road exit. As of 9:02 p.m., the Denton Police Department stated that the road will remain closed until crews can clear the scene.
