Massachusetts Highway Clogged with Poland Spring Water Bottles After Tractor-Trailer Crash
A morning crash involving two tractor-trailers on Interstate 95 in Massachusetts has caused significant disruptions to traffic. The incident occurred on the southbound side of the highway at Exit 39B, which leads to the Massachusetts Turnpike.
The crash resulted in a massive spill of Poland Spring water bottles, with shards from a splintered pallet and plastic bottles scattered along the side of the highway.
To ensure safe cleanup efforts, firefighters closed the exit to the Pike. The closure has caused severe congestion, with drive times exceeding 90 minutes from Peabody to Weston, according to Boston 25’s Catherine Parrotta.
Commuters are advised to plan for alternative routes or build in extra time to their journeys.
The incident is currently under investigation, and it is unclear if anyone was injured in the crash.
