Teen Shot at Fort Washington Party Dies Weeks Later — Woman Now Charged With Murder
Nobody expected Darlyn Florian-Granados not to make it.
He was just 18. He got shot at a party in Fort Washington back in June. He was taken to the hospital right after. He hung on for weeks. But he died on July 15.
It all happened early — around 3:20 in the morning, June 13. Police showed up to Broadwater Street. There had been a party. People were still out.
That’s where Darlyn and a 20-year-old woman named Keyri Escalante had some kind of argument — or something happened. No one’s saying exactly what yet.
Escalante was arrested not long after. At first, she was charged with attempted murder. That changed after Darlyn passed. Now she’s facing murder charges — first and second degree.
Detectives still don’t have the full story. If you know something, they’re asking people to call them at (301) 516-2512.
