James Edward Wallace Death-Obituary: Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Mitchell County, Texas
A tragic accident occurred on Tuesday in Mitchell County, Texas, resulting in the death of a 63-year-old motorcyclist. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), James Edward Wallace of Westbrook was riding his 2010 Honda Goldwing motorcycle on Business Interstate Highway 20 when the incident happened.
At approximately 4:23 p.m., Wallace attempted to overtake John Keneth Kendrick, 72, of Colorado City, who was driving a 2011 Volkswagen Golf. Kendrick was preparing to turn left at mile marker 346 when Wallace tried to pass him. Unfortunately, the motorcycle struck the Volkswagen as Kendrick made the turn, causing a fatal collision.
Wallace was rushed to Mitchell County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:51 p.m. The DPS is investigating the incident, and no further details have been released.
