IOWA CITY, Iowa — Ava Jones, the Kansas basketball player who suffered a severe injury during her family’s visit to Louisville, has revealed another challenge she is confronting.
Jones, who along with her family was hit by a driver under the influence of fentanyl, revealed on her Instagram account that she has received a cancer diagnosis.
In her post she said, “I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma after the results from the biopsy came back.” “This is the news no one ever wants to get, but especially after spending the last two-and-a-half years working my butt off and recovering from getting hit by a car.”
“My body is very strong, and I am confident in the doctors here at Iowa.”
We sincerely wish her a quick recovery.
What a sad story
