
Portsmouth Police Arrest Suspect in Connection with Deadly March Shooting
A 22-year-old man, Kareem Zavion Horton, has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on March 2 in Portsmouth, Virginia.
According to the Portsmouth Police Department, the shooting took place in the 2900 block of Arcadia Avenue around 9:11 p.m. Officers found 24-year-old Remonds Delbridge dead at the scene, while another man was injured with life-threatening injuries.
Two additional victims connected to the shooting later arrived at a local hospital as walk-in patients.
Horton has been charged with felony homicide, armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, shooting within a building, and two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
He is currently being held without bond at the Portsmouth City Jail.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
