According to reports from Italian and Sky Italia, Nigerian international Ademola Lookman will no longer be an Atalanta Bergamo player next season. The 27-year-old has been at odds with his coach, Gian Piero Gasperini, since missing a crucial penalty in the Champions League against Club Brugge.
Lookman, who has been instrumental in Atalanta’s success, including scoring a historic treble in the UEFA Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen, feels disrespected within the dressing room. Despite being involved in 29% of his team’s goals, with 12 goals and 5 assists, Lookman is seeking a new challenge.
Liverpool has already made contact with Lookman’s entourage to explore the possibility of a permanent transfer this summer. The Reds consider Lookman a top candidate to replace Mohamed Salah. Arsenal has also expressed interest, but has yet to make a concrete offer.
However, Lookman’s dream move may come from Saudi Arabia, whose lucrative offer could tempt him to join the Saudi Pro League. The Nigerian has already informed his close relations that he would seize the opportunity if it arises.
Lookman’s departure from Atalanta Bergamo is expected to be finalized in the summer, marking the end of his tumultuous spell with the Italian club.
Please he should come to Manchester United
