Two-Car Crash on Long Island Expressway Sends Two to Hospital
A two-vehicle collision on the Long Island Expressway in Yaphank resulted in two people being hospitalized, with one suffering serious injuries.
The accident occurred in the westbound lanes, between exits 66 and 67, at approximately 1 p.m. The impact caused one of the vehicles to overturn.
Emergency responders transported the injured individuals to the hospital for treatment. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
The westbound lanes were closed temporarily but reopened by 5 p.m.
