
Man Shot by Police in Manteca After Ramming Patrol Cars
MANTECA, CA – A man was shot by police officers in Manteca, California, after he allegedly rammed his vehicle into multiple police cruisers. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening near the In-N-Out restaurant off Yosemite Avenue and Highway 99.
According to eyewitnesses, the man was asked to leave the restaurant due to his behavior and later hit a patrol car, prompting an officer to fire at him. A standoff ensued, during which the driver remained uncooperative and rammed into at least two more patrol cars, leading officers to shoot at him again.
The driver was shot and taken to a local hospital, but his condition has not been disclosed. No officers were injured during the incident. The San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office, California Department of Justice Crime Lab, and Manteca Police Department will investigate the police shooting.
