
Motorcyclist Injured in Accident on 216th Street and 604th Avenue
A motorcycle accident occurred at 6:02 pm on 216th Street and 604th Avenue in Eagle Lake, leaving the rider injured. The motorcyclist, a 37-year-old male, was traveling at approximately 30 mph when he lost control of his vehicle after hitting loose gravel while turning a corner.
First responders arrived on the scene quickly, with an Eagle Lake first responder arriving in a personal vehicle at 6:07 pm, followed by the Eagle Lake Fire Department at 6:10 pm. Mayo Medical Transport was also dispatched to the scene, with Mayo 3 landing at 6:19 pm to assess the patient’s condition.
The patient sustained injuries, including a fractured right clavicle and deformities. Initially, Mayo 3 decided not to transport the patient, but later, at 8:37 pm, they were dispatched to MCHS Mankato to pick up the patient, who had been diagnosed with a rib fracture, right clavicle fracture, and bleeding in the brain.
Mayo 3 transported the patient to St. Mary’s in Rochester, arriving at 9:07 pm. The accident is under investigation, and authorities are working to determine the cause of the incident.
