FDR Drive Northbound Closed After Early Morning Crash
Brutal scene early this morning on the FDR. A crash just before 4 a.m. near 23rd St shut down all lanes heading north. Traffic’s a mess — backed up all the way to the Manhattan Bridge.
Cops say a 31-year-old guy on a motorcycle was found down. EMTs rushed him to Bellevue, but he didn’t make it. The identity of the victim has not been released by the officials yet.

Not clear yet what led up to it. Police are still sorting it out. Avoid the area if you can — it’s gonna be slow for a while.
