
M25 Motorway Closed Due to Multi-Vehicle Crash
A major traffic incident has occurred on the M25 motorway, resulting in a complete shutdown of the road. The crash, involving multiple vehicles, happened between junction 30 (Lakeside/Purfleet) and 29 (Romford/Basildon) this morning, March 18.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 9 am and involves a van and two cars. Emergency services, including police, fire, and ambulance, are currently at the scene, attending to the incident.
The road is blocked, and all traffic has been halted, with congestion building up to the Dartford Tunnels. To prevent traffic from accumulating inside the tunnels, traffic has been held.
Essex County Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that firefighters from Grays and Orsett are at the scene, where they have rescued two casualties.
