
A tragic incident occurred on Thursday morning in Boyle Heights, where a person was found dead after being struck by a westbound Metrolink train near Mission Road.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), paramedics responded to a call at approximately 9:30 a.m. and located the victim’s body near 742 Mission Road.
Metrolink officials reported that the train, carrying nearly 280 passengers, was halted after the incident, and passengers were transferred to a rescue train around 11 a.m.
Fortunately, none of the passengers on board were injured, although all were assessed by medical personnel.
The cause of death and the victim’s identity have not been released, pending further investigation.
The incident is currently under investigation, with authorities working to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
