
A tragic single-vehicle accident on eastbound I-70 in Wayne County, Indiana, has claimed the life of one individual. The incident occurred on February 22, 2025, at approximately 8:53 PM, near the 149-mile marker.
Emergency services responded to the scene, where they found the victim deceased. The Wayne County Indiana Coroner’s Office is currently investigating the cause and manner of death, with a forensic autopsy scheduled to take place at the crime lab in Dayton, Ohio.
The Richmond Police Department and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office are collaborating on the investigation, with the Police and Community Together (PACT) Team and the Richmond Fire Department providing drone technology to capture critical evidence and aerial perspectives.
